Tesla is the man.
Tesla has a surprising number of inventions that radically effect the modern world. He invented alternating current. That would be like having the patent for air. However he was not that smart of a business man. He gave it to Westinghouse for pennies.
Tesla is also the model for all the movie mad scientists. He loved giving amazing displays of electrical devices. He loved high voltage arcs of electricity and electromagnetics. People still wonder how he did some of the things he did.
Alas he didn’t always share his ideas and didn’t handle his money well. He died in poverty in a cheap hotel room. Even worse he never got to finish a lot of his later inventions. We will never know what he could have invented if he had had the financing during his last years.
