I’ve made peace with the law now.
Several days ago, a friendly policeman reminded me that I had forgotten to update my tag and also didn’t have a current insurance card in my car. The ticket for that is surprising high. I guess that’s the price for flaunting disobedience to the government. Yesterday I went downtown and paid the clerk for a 2009 license plate sticker. I also got a replacement copy of my insurance card.
I was able to use the purple sticker and insurance card copy to get the ticket canceled. I’m no longer a criminal. (at least for this)
